I attended Murray State University where I received my bachelor's in Elementary Education and my Master's in Early Childhood. Murray's program is accredited by the Commonwealth of Kentucky as well as being nationally accredited by the National Council for Accreditation of Teacher Education.

I decided to go for another degree, so in May of 2013 I graduated with my degree in Educational Specialist Degree in Administration and Supervision from Austin Peay State University.

My experience in education started in Clarksville, TN.  I taught at Hazelwood Elementary for 10 years.  I then moved to Barkers Mill Elementary where I taught for 7 years.  My next move was to Hopkinsville, KY.  I taught 1 year at Belmont Elementary.  For 3 years I worked as an Instructional and Behavior Coach at various schools in the district including Pembroke, Sinking Fork, and South Christian.  I'm currently the Academic Coach at South Christian where I work with the teachers and students on various things.  We work on learning stratiegies, co-teach, model lessons, and many other things.  I have been very blessed to teach at each of these wonderful schools. I love working with teachers and children helping them grow and learn.

I am a mother of 3.  I have twins, Micah (a boy) and Maggie (a girl), who are in 9th grade at HHS and a spunky little red head, Mollie who is in 6th grade at South Christian.  These three keep me busy between riding horses, rodeos, archery classes, and dance classes we have very little down time.  We attend church at Christian County Cowboy Church where we are very active members.
