It is truly an honor to be the South Christian Elementary School principal. South Christian has a wonderful reputation for student academic success. Not only is student achievement a result of dedicated teachers and staff, hard working students, but also committed parents and involved community members. The school motto is Inspire Achieve Succeed. In order for every student to actualize our motto, it will take efforts from all of us working together as a team.

One of South Christian’s goals is to partner with families to ensure that each student maximizes their learning potential. The Kentucky State Standards are based in the premise that students will be college and career ready by the time they graduate from high school. It is our mission that we lay a strong foundation of knowledge and skills that allow your child to problem solve and critically think.

I encourage you to know your child’s teacher, ask questions and be informed. Talk with your child about interesting topics in order to help them discover what they are passionate about. This will ultimately lead to a desire to achieve and succeed.

I am looking forward to an awesome, healthy, and productive school year here at South Christian during these challenging times in which we are all growing through together!

I am a product of CCPS and I started working in CCPS as a substitute teacher and bus driver. In 2007, I earned my Bachelor's Degree in Elementary Education and began teaching 4th Grade Math here at South Christian Elementary, later becoming a Math Interventionist. I was also an Instructional and Behavior Coach in CCPS for 3 years before working as an Education Administration Program Consultant l for the Kentucky Department of Education.

Most recently, I served as an Assistant Principal at Freedom Elementary School. Additionally, I have a Masters Degree and Rank 1 in School Administration and a Gifted and Talented Education Endorsement.

I am excited for the opportunity to be back at South Christian Elementary to support teachers, students, families, and other stakeholders in this capacity where I began teaching and where my children, Jaylen and Kenady attended elementary school.

I am looking forward to creating a positive school environment where students know what is expected of them in all areas of the school and where they feel safe and are treated fairly!

Welcome to South Christian Elementary. I am Julia Stewart, Assistant Principal of Curriculum & Instruction. This is my 8th year at South Christian. I am a graduate of Christian County High School, Hopkinsville Community College, Austin Peay State University, and I hold two Master's Degrees from Murray State University.
